'AMLÉ' (Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn) is the new name for the Union of Students in Ireland. It's a direct translation.
The Congress of the Union of Students in Ireland will take place in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath from 31 March until 3 April 2014.
The window for the submission of motions and proposed amendments to the AMLÉ Constitution is now open.
Motions may be submitted between 10 January 2014 and 5.30 pm on 7 February 2014.
The Pre-Clár (Agenda) will be issued no later than 21 February 2014 for motions to be prioritised.
The Ballot for prioritisation will close at 5.30pm on 7 March 2014
The Final Running Order for debates (The Motions Document) will be sent to SUs and published here on 14 March 2014

Motions to AMLÉ Congress set the policies of AMLÉ. They are written by college students’ unions and formally submitted by the President of the Students’ Union to AMLÉ Congress for discussion.
Each motion tabled for AMLÉ Congress 2014 will be available right here when they’re published. After that, they will go on to be prioritised by students’ unions. The Priority Ballot results will be given here.
Member organisations may amend the constitution of AMLÉ. Amendments are written by college students’ unions and formally submitted to AMLÉ Congress for discussion and vote.
Each amendment (CA) tabled for AMLÉ Congress 2014 will be available right here when they’re published. These are not prioritised by member organisations – the Steering Committee of AMLÉ will arrange for these to be debated in the most logical order.
AMLÉ Congress will also elect a new Officer Board for the organisation. As soon as procedural details for these matters are finalised and published to Students’ Unions, these details will appear here.
