'AMLÉ' (Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn) is the new name for the Union of Students in Ireland. It's a direct translation. It came into effect on 13 May 2025. The rebrand reflects the desire of the organisation to promote the use of the Irish Language.
Bryan was Education Officer at SETU Waterford Students’ Union before being elected to AMLÉ.
He sits on the board of Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and the HEA Engagement, Teaching and Learning Committee, the Student Survey Board.
He is on the steering committee for the National Academic Integrity Network and SAMLÉ Grants Advisory Group.
