Fresh new “MyAMLÉ” discount app putting savings back into students’ pockets across Ireland
MyAMLÉ, the groundbreaking student discount app developed in partnership with Ireland’s national third level students’ union is putting savings back into students’ pockets every day across Ireland – and the deals are getting better every week.
The app, developed by Uni-Street with support from AMLÉ, (Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn, formerly Union of Students in Ireland) aims to put easy-to-access deals in the pockets of every student in membership of the national union, and provide reductions in the cost of living for members.
Bryan O’Mahony, AMLÉ President, said:
‘Students in Ireland have faced serious increases in the cost of living, and it’s getting worse every year. What Ireland has lacked until now is a dedicated valuable student discount app, putting deals for things students actually need into their hands. MyAMLÉ addresses that, putting deals on transport, tech, entertainment, food, groceries and life’s essentials in their grasp. We’re proud of the offering we have already, but we’re pushing hard to see it grow, so it can bring benefits to every student.”
The app, which is free to download from mobile app stores, is exclusively available to students at AMLÉ member colleges, providing retailers and brands with certainty that the benefits and their marketing spend is really targeting students in Ireland.
MyAMLÉ Ireland Manager Chris Clifford said:
“We’re reaching out every day to suppliers of the things students tell us they want and need. We spent time over the summer consulting students about what they wanted to see, and we are actively gathering suppliers to offer national, regional and tailored local discounts to students. There are already huge brands and retailers signed up and we’re proud now we’re proud to have exclusive offers to students from Uber and Uber Eats – big tangible deals which can reduced the cost of living and open up opportunities for fun that Irish students just haven’t been able to access before now.”
