We have been involved in a number of campaigns to protect students working in hospitality.
Last year AMLÉ ran a survey and submitted to the Low Pay Commission on the issues of tipping practices. View that submission HERE.
We have also continued to work with two groups who are working on Tipping campaigns, ‘One Movement’ #MyTipsMyReward and the ‘Unite the Union’ #StopTipTheft campaign.
We have been involved lobbying policy advisors to influence legislation they are drafting, speaking at open meetings, organising door to door, protesting outside businesses and attending strategy meetings.
We met the Lord Mayor of Dublin to push the campaign further. He will be taking actions for us from that meeting.
