'AMLÉ' (Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn) is the new name for the Union of Students in Ireland. It's a direct translation.

The AMLÉ Mature Students’ Convention will take place this Saturday 8 November 2014 at Athlone Institute of Technology Students’ Union.

Free for AMLÉ mature students.

AMLÉ values its diverse membership and seeks to provide for the needs for all its students. The Mature Student Convention will provide an opportunity for mature students, staff and students who work closely with mature students, and Students’ Union officers, to come together and discuss best practise and ideas, provide support, and garner information on how to provide a positive experience for mature students during their time at college.

The day will consist of workshops and talks, with plenty of time to network and engage with mature students from all around the country. There will be workshops on time management, effective studying, and minding your mental health, all tailored to the needs of mature students. Most importantly there will be opportunities to chat and share experiences with mature students form other colleges! The day also includes tea/coffee and lunch.

Registration is at 10.30am
