'AMLÉ' (Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn) is the new name for the Union of Students in Ireland. It's a direct translation. It came into effect on 13 May 2025. The rebrand reflects the desire of the organisation to promote the use of the Irish Language.

The Constitution is the governing document for the Union – everything the Union does must be compliant with the constitution.

The latest edition of the AMLÉ constitution was in force on 9 May 2024, after amendment by AMLÉ Comhdháil 2024.  Updated 25 September 2024 with corrected schedules.

This version in force from 9 May 2024
